In times of a bad economy, many different business’ will lower their rate and or prices to make sales to generate revenue. One of the best places to save money is going on a family vacation. Airlines, hotels and in some cases, restaurants are practically giving away their service or product to make ends meet.
Going on a family vacation is something that’s not slowing down. Take Alaskan cruises for example. There are too many cruise ship in the Alaskan area that these companies are competing with each other by cutting their prices drastically. Right now you can book a one week Alaskan cruise for just $399 per person. A week vacation a on a Alaskan cruise for $400 is not something that you will find during a good economy. Typically these prices were costing some where in the $1600 just a few short years ago.
About about going to Las Vegas? You will be amazed by how little it costs to go to Las Vegas. You can get a flight for less than $100 round trip from most places in the U.S. Getting a room is unbelievably cheap compared to the prices of 2005-2007.
If you don’t feel like traveling too far from you home, I’m sure that there are quite a few places in your area that are lowering their charges or offering great deals to help make sales and to prevent laying their workers off. Busch Gardens, Disney as well as Universal Studios are offering some great deals for the residents of Florida and California. In New York City, the theater district (Broadway) is having a tough time in filling the seats so they are also giving away great seats at great prices. Look around at some of the museums, local amusement parks and so forth and you will be surprised at what savings you can get.
Just because money is tight during these trying times, doesn’t mean that you and your family can’t get out and have some fun without breaking the piggy bank.
